Bird Watching in Lake County
Bird watching is the fastest growing outdoor sport in the nation, and Lake County is happy to be a part of it. As the name of this County would indicate, it is a great place to view more than 200 different species of birds.

This bird-watching guide was developed, in cooperation with the Oklawaha Valley Audubon Society, to encourage local and visiting birders to explore Lake County's natural beauty. With 18 identified locations to go birding, including some hidden gems such as the Emeralda Marsh Conservation Area, Lake County is the right destination for advanced and beginning birders.

Boating and Waterways
With more than 1,000 lakes and rivers, there’s no surprise how Lake County got its name. This Central Florida county is not only home to hundreds of waterways, but the quality of freshwater fishing and boating amenities are some of the best in the region.

Events Guide: October - December 2009
Promote your Lake County events by posting them online. We take it from there and publish your events in our Quarterly Brochure, distribution over 100,000. Selected events are also publicized on WFTV-Channel 9 and Magic 107.7 radio as well as the Orlando Sentinel, Travel Host magazine, Orlando Business Journal, Visit Florida publications and many other locations and venues. All events will be published on our online calendar.

The guide's layout is similar to a typical magazine as feature articles help give the reader an in-depth look at some of Lake County's popular getaway destinations.
