Other than the zoning and road vacation public hearings, the Board will not receive comment from the public on matters not pertaining to the issues before them.

Regular meetings of the Lake County Board of County Commissioners are held on the first, third and fourth Tuesdays of each month (starting at 9 a.m.) in the Board Chambers of the Lake County Administration Building, located at 315 W. Main Street, Tavares.

Board workshops, if needed, are held on the second Tuesday of each month and could be located at various venues throughout the County. To view workshop meeting locations, or for more information on upcoming meetings, visit www.lakecountyfl.gov/bccmeetings, or call (352) 343-9888.

 

This booklet has been prepared for the convenience of the Board of County Commissioners in discussing matters before them. Every effort has been made to include all items to be discussed at this Board of County Commissioners meeting, however, Commissioners may add items, which are not a part of this Agenda, or items may be removed from consideration. While it has been the goal to present error-free information, we do not represent that documentation is without errors or omissions.

In addition to regular Board meetings, the Board of County Commissioners may, from time to time, schedule a workshop during which they will receive information from staff, have discussions with staff and among themselves, and then proceed to give staff direction on the subject matter being discussed unless otherwise shown on the Agenda item. These discussions and workshops do not take the place of the formal public hearing process during which any member of the public may comment and formal action is taken.

The Board and staff welcome written comments prior to workshops and other meetings.  Tab 1Approval to write-off bad debt consisting of three Housing Assistance payments totaling $1,437.00.
   
 Tab 2Approval of a Budget Change Request transferring funds from Grants and Aids to Capital Outlay for Sorrento Park Renovations, which is totally funded by the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). The fiscal impact is $28,200.00.

 Tab 3Approval of the County's updated Section 125 Flexible Spending Account (Cafeteria Plan) document.
   
Public Safety
   
 Tab 4Request approval to execute the second disbursement of the Florida Department of Health and Emergency Medical Services Grant and to receive and provide appropriations for the grant disbursement.
   
 Tab 5Approval for Department of Public Safety Fire Rescue Division to transfer funds from County Fire Fund/Buildings to County Fire Fund/Machinery & Equipment to properly account for the acquisition of required radio communications equipment. Fiscal impact: $48,500.00

 Tab 6Request authorization to accept a Warranty Bond in the amount of $25,000.00, and execute an Agreement Between D.A.B. Constructors, Inc. and Lake County Regarding Alco Road Resurfacing Project. Alco Road is in Commission District 5. There is no fiscal impact.
   
 Tab 7Approval and execution of the attached interlocal between Lake County and the City of Clermont for traffic sign maintenance and emergency repairs. The fiscal impact is $43,000.00 annually.
