Residential trash collection in unincorporated Lake County offers residents “1-1-1” curbside collection, which consists of once-per-week trash, one-per-week recycling and once-per-week yard waste collection. The program also provides homeowners with two county-issued roll carts; one 95-gallon cart for trash and one 65-gallon cart for recycling, at no cost. Maintenance of the cart is also included at no additional cost.

Household garbage and recycling will be collected on the same day of the week. Yard waste will be collected on a different day. Usually yard waste is collected the following day however please call your hauler to confirm or use the tools below:
To find out when trash, recycling and yard waste will be collected for each service area:
Step 1: Visit https://gis.lakecountyfl.gov/MyPublicServices/
Step 2: Enter the homeowner address in the top right corner, and hit 'enter'
Step 3: The screen will zoom into the address, and the garbage, recycling and yard waste pickup days will be displayed along the bottom of the screen.
