TAVARES — Officials from myregion.org are encouraging Lake County residents to confirm attendance at several community input sessions scheduled from May 16-24.
These sessions are divided into two parts and the community’s participation in both is crucial as the seven counties of Central Florida participate in answering the question, “How Shall We Grow?” To confirm attendance at the part-one session and at one of the part-two sessions, log on to www.myregion.org. For more information, call Pam Clancy, Community Liaison, at 407-835-2443 or e-mail email@example.com.
The first session will provide an overview of why it is important to build a regional vision. Participants at this session will work together to make recommendations regarding how the Central Florida region could best accommodate the addition of four million people by the year 2050.
The second part of the input sessions will ask the local community how they would like to see their particular sector of the region grow. Two of these meetings are scheduled, though participation is required at only one of the part-two sessions.
The community input sessions scheduled for Lake County are:
- Part 1, “Why Build a Regional Vision?” — Tuesday, May 16, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the South Lake Campus of Lake-Sumter Community College, 1250 N. Hancock Road, Clermont
