MOUNT DORA, FLA. — The Florida Highwaymen Artists are returning to Mount Dora for the Second Annual Florida Highwaymen Art Festival with an opportunity to view and buy their original art on Saturday, Aug. 8, and Sunday, Aug. 9, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Donnelly Building in Donnelly Park, located at 530 N. Donnelly St.
Featured Florida Highwaymen Artists include Curtis Arnett, Al Black, Mary Ann Carroll, James Gibson, Issac Knight, Robert Lewis, John Maynor, Roy McLendon, Willie Reagan, Carnell Smith and Sylvester Wells.
The festivities begin with a meet-and-greet reception for the 11 artists on Friday, Aug. 7, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Mount Dora Chamber of Commerce, located at 341 Alexander St. On Saturday evening, a meet and dine with the Florida Highwaymen Artists is available at four downtown Mount Dora restaurants, The Goblin Market, Mount Dora Sushi, The Frosty Mug and Lakeside Inn.
The Second Annual Florida Highwaymen Art Festival is presented by The Mount Dora Village Merchant's & Business Association, Heron Cay Bed & Breakfast and Lake County Junior Achievement. The event is sponsored in part by the City of Mount Dora, Mount Dora Chamber of Commerce, Grand Rental Station, Mount Dora Community Trust and Bogin, Munns & Munns, P.A.
