HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS — The Lake County Green Team is presenting the Second Annual Green Symposium on Thursday, July 29, and Friday, July 30, at Mission Inn Resort & Club, located at 10400 County Road 48 in Howey-in-the-Hills.
The purpose of the symposium is for professionals in varying fields to share ideas about conserving and maximizing natural resources. An agenda of presentations at the symposium will cover a variety of topics including alternative energy and green enterprise. The intended audience for the symposium is entrepreneurs, land-use planners, engineers, architects, civil engineers and public health & government officials.

The Lake County Green Team is comprised of employees from a variety of County departments and Lake County Health Department. The team is charged with suggesting ways to protect Lake County’s natural resources. The Green Symposium is one of the team’s two annual events. The Third Annual Lake County Green Fair is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 13, at Wooton Park in Tavares.
