TAVARES —A host of children’s activities will be available at the Third Annual Lake County Green Fair being held on Saturday, Nov. 13 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Wooton Park, located along Lake Dora in downtown Tavares.
The fair will have free admission and will feature educational programs and over 80 exhibitors with informative displays that highlight best practices in environmental issues. For children, the Green Fair will include several kid-friendly activities, like entertainment provided by Radio Disney, free face painting sponsored by the Lake County Green Team, and an alpaca viewing area provided by Acres of Angels Alpacas.
The Home Depot and Lowe’s will be sponsoring free hands-on children’s crafts like building a bird feeder and “Plant a Seed”, an activity where children will decorate a flower pot then plant flowers. A green passport will also be available at the Lake County Green Team booth that children can take around to various booths to complete a scavenger hunt for a free prize.
