TAVARES — The Lake County Extension is inviting residents to an upcoming educational program entitled, “Getting the most from your vegetable garden” on Saturday, Feb. 5, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Lake County Agricultural Center, located at 1951 Woodlea Road in Tavares.
The program, led by Charles Fedunak, Environmental Horticulture Agent with the University of Florida/Lake County Extension (UF/IFAS), is for both new and experienced home vegetable growers. Participants will learn how vegetable gardening can be both healthy and cost effective, and will get ideas on making the most of their gardening space.
There is a $5 fee for the program, and no pre-registration is required.
