TAVARES — The Lake County Extension is inviting residents to an upcoming educational program entitled, “How to Create a Florida Friendly Landscape” on Saturday, March 19, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Lake County Agricultural Center, located at 1951 Woodlea Road in Tavares.
The program, led by Charles Fedunak, Environmental Horticulture Agent with the University of Florida/Lake County Extension (UF/IFAS), is for both new and experienced landscapers. Participants will discover how to have a more environmentally friendly landscape by learning the integrated approach for applying Florida Friendly Landscaping techniques.
There is a $5 fee for the program, and pre-registration is requested.
