LEESBURG — Procurement offices from various agencies in Lake County are hosting its Third Annual Reverse Vendor Tradeshow to provide companies an opportunity to meet face-to-face with procurement officials on Friday, April 29, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Leesburg Community Center, located at 109 Dixie Ave. (State Road 44), Leesburg.
Governmental agencies’ procurement and purchasing offices that will be in attendance at the tradeshow, include Lake County Board of County Commissioners, Lake County Clerk of Courts, Lake County Sheriff’s Office, Lake County Schools and the municipalities of Clermont, Eustis, Leesburg and Tavares. Other local agencies may be in attendance as well.
Three workshops will also be held at 10 a.m., 11 a.m. & 1 p.m. The workshops will focus on providing useful tips for how to successfully do business with government agencies.
The Reverse Vendor Tradeshow is hosted by Procurement Officials of Lake (POOL). Established in 2009, one of the organization’s main goals is to make it easier for the vendor community to participate in public sector purchasing entities and opportunities throughout the County.
“Last year’s event was very well attended with over 300 companies being represented,” said Barnett Schwartzman, Director of the Lake County Procurement Services Division. “Many of those companies became new participants in the purchasing programs of County and City governments within Lake County.”
