TAVARES — The Lake County Extension is inviting residents to an upcoming educational program entitled, “Lawn Care in Florida” on Tuesday, June 7, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Lake County Agricultural Center, located at 1951 Woodlea Road in Tavares.
The program, led by Charles Fedunak, Environmental Horticulture Agent with the University of Florida/Lake County Extension (UF/IFAS), will discuss best management practices to maintaining a healthy and beautiful Florida lawn.
There is a $5 fee for the program to cover the costs of materials. Pre-registration is requested by Monday, June 6.
The Lake County Extension provides research-based information and educational programs cooperatively with the Lake County Board of County Commissioners and the University of Florida for all aspects of horticulture, agriculture, food safety, the home environment, financial management and 4-H youth programs.
The Extension’s mission is to make knowledge in agricultural, human and natural resources accessible to people to sustain and enhance the quality of human life. The Lake County Extension provides a free master gardener plant clinic and free consultations as well as educational programs on a variety of subjects.
