TAVARES — The postponed joint meeting originally scheduled for July with the Lake County School Board and Lake County Board of County Commissioners has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 30, at 3 p.m. at Lake Minneola High School, located at 101 N. Hancock Road in Minneola.
The meeting includes a guided tour of the new high school. Other discussion topics on the agenda include an update on sidewalks and traffic patterns around Lake Minneola High School and an overview of the Lake County Economic Action Plan. The public is invited to the school tour and meeting.
In March, Lake County unveiled its Economic Action Plan as a tool to help promote economic growth in the community. The plan was developed with input from businesses and residents, and it mapped out avenues to promote Lake County as a business-friendly community. One of the goals stated in the plan is to “Assure that we have an available and well-prepared workforce for existing, emerging and prospective businesses, and collaborate with Lake County educators to meet workforce needs and achieve educational excellence.”
