Savage Race comes to Lake County

RELEASE DATE: August 22, 2011

This extreme race, with a 3.2 mile course covering grueling terrain, demanding obstacles and a rugged mud course is not your average 5K run. Typical obstacles include fire jumps, barbed wire, mud crawls, climbing walls, cargo nets, lake swims, and several twists with unexpected challenges thrown in. All guaranteed to test your endurance and pump your adrenaline.

Spectators get to participate too. Besides cheering for favorite extreme athletes and teams, the audience chooses the winner of the “Most Savage Costume” contest. Anything goes, including tiaras, fairy wings, masks and anything fun. Each Savage Race is followed by a Savage Celebration.  Spectators will enjoy live music from renowned musician Chris McCarty, great BBQ food from Texas Smoke House, celebratory beverages and vendors offering deep discounts for goods and services.

Audrey Jowett, owner and operator, states that Revolution Off Road is proud to host the first Savage Race in Orlando, and “the event promises to be a spectacle of athletic prowess with immense fun for all”. Ms. Jowett advises “The atmosphere by our amazing lake will entice you to stay, so bring garden chairs to sit on as you cheer home the competitors, muddy, bruised and just happy that it is all over." A discount coupon for future ATV experiences will be available that day. Entrance to the event is free for spectators and limited parking is $10.00 per car so share rides when possible.

The Savage Race begins this Saturday, August 27, at 9 a.m. at Revolution, the Off Road Experience, located at 4000 State Road 33 in Clermont.  http://www.revolutionoffroad.com/Savage/
