TAVARES — Lake County's park rangers will lead a guided nature hike on Saturday, Jan. 28, from 8 to 10 a.m. at Lake Idamere Park, located at 12335 County Road 448, Tavares.
During the 1.5-mile hike, park rangers will identify plants, birds and other wildlife that call the park home. After the hike, participants are encouraged to explore the park's amenities including the dog park, fishing pier or boundless playground, or enjoy a picnic lunch and at the park's pavilion.
Participants are encouraged to wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Park rangers also recommend bringing insect repellent, sunscreen, water, binoculars and field guides. Reservations are encouraged, but not required.
