Upcoming Savage Race event challenges participants to test their limits

RELEASE DATE: March 7, 2012

CLERMONT – Lake County will play host to Savage Race on Saturday, March 10, 2012 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Revolution the Off Road Experience, located at 4000 State Road 33 in Clermont.

The race, over four miles long, will feature more than 21 extreme obstacles, a 35-foot sand dune, mud pits and an open swim component, scattered across a rugged race course.

The Clermont venue consists of numerous terrain and elevation changes, meant to push each competitor to their physical and mental limits. Some of the course’s obstacles include the ice plunge, fire leap, monkey bars and tunnels.

Admission to the event is free, while parking is $10 for cars and $5 for motorcycles. There will be plenty of food and beverages, as well as live entertainment by Chris McCarthy and the musical group, ‘Dollface.’
