Lake County Adopt-a-Lake Program to offer free aquatic plants at 13th Annual Florida Black Bear Festival

RELEASE DATE: March 28, 2012

UMATILLA – The Lake County Adopt-a-Lake Program, in conjunction with the Lake County Water Authority, will be giving away free aquatic plants during the 13th Annual Florida Black Bear Festival on Saturday, March 31 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Cadwell Park in Umatilla.

The plant varieties that will be available include: canna, Virginia willow, Red Buckeye (tree), hibiscus, lizards tail, bulrush, pickerel weed, sand cord grass, arrowhead and iris. Those who are interested will be allowed to take three to four plants, while supplies last.
