TAVARES – In continuance of its “Make It and Taste It” series, the Lake County Extension is inviting residents to attend a program entitled “Cooking with Fresh Herbs” on Tuesday, May 29 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Lake County Agriculture Center, located at 1951 Woodlea Road in Tavares.
This program will teach participants about the various herbs that can be grown in their home garden. Participants will also be able to prepare and taste delicious foods made with fresh herbs. The fee for the program is $11.54 (materials + administrative fee) and pre-registration is required, as space is limited. To register, visit www.flherbsafternoon.eventbrite.com.
Also as part of the series, there will be a webinar entitled “Healthy Stir Fry,” on Wednesday, May 23 from 12:10 to 12:50 p.m. This free webinar will give participants healthy techniques and tips for making tasty stir fry. To register, log on to bit.ly/HRSWOi.
