TAVARES – In the event of an emergency on Lake County’s lakes and rivers during the Memorial Day holiday weekend, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office and the Lake County Department of Public Safety, Fire Rescue Division are ready to answer with a swift response.
As they have done for several years, paramedics from the Lake County Fire Rescue Division will partner with Lake County Sheriff’s Office deputies in responding to emergencies that may occur on the County’s most popular waterways during the upcoming Memorial Day holiday weekend.
Starting on Friday, May 25 through Monday, May 28, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., public safety officials will patrol the St. Johns River, Harris Chain of Lakes, Silver Glen Springs and the Clermont Chain of Lakes. They will be equipped with vital life-saving equipment, which could be critical in case of an emergency.
