TAVARES – The Lake County Office of Economic Development & Tourism is inviting residents to volunteer at the Wings and Wildflowers Festival, to be held Sept. 28-30 at Hickory Point Park, located at 27341 State Road 19 in Tavares.
Volunteers are being asked to help in a number of areas, including: vendor and exhibitor relations, staff support on hikes and field trips, parking lot attendees, greeting and registration, sales and informational booths, technology (audio, video, photo) operation and maintenance, conducting surveys, assisting with plants, signage display and children’s activities.
Volunteers must be at least 16 years old, and are asked to dedicate a minimum of two hours of service. Those who volunteer are also encouraged to bring snacks, water, sunscreen and the appropriate attire to correlate with their respective duties.
All volunteers will be required to attend a mandatory training event, to be held prior to the festival.
