TAVARES – The Lake County Extension will hold an educational course, entitled “College Cooking,” on Tuesday, Aug. 7 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Lake County Agriculture Center, located at 1951 Woodlea Road in Tavares.
This class will help college students discover various ways to prepare meals that are simple and delicious, without using expensive ingredients or equipment. It will also feature food preparation and recipe demonstrations, as well as an overview of the basic tools they will need to cook meals while living in dormitories or apartments.
The fee for the class is $5, and those interested in participating must pre-register by Aug. 6, as space is limited. To register, visit collegecooking.eventbrite.com.
