TAVARES – The Lake County Extension is inviting residents to participate in a program, entitled “Healthy Weeknight Meals,” on Wednesday, Aug. 15 from 3 to 5 p.m. and Thursday, Aug. 16 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Both sessions will be held at the Lake County Agriculture Center, located at 1951 Woodlea Road in Tavares.
This program will help participants diversify their weekly menus be providing demonstrations and ideas for meals that are healthy, delicious and easy to prepare. Participants will also have the opportunity to prepare and taste dishes such as spinach lasagna and chicken creole, among others.
The fee for each session is $12 and pre-registration is required, as space is limited. To register for the Wednesday Aug. 15 session, visit www.pmweeknightmeals.eventbrite.com. Those who wish to attend the Thursday, Aug. 16 session can register by visiting www.weeknightmeals.eventbrite.com. The deadline to register for either class is Monday, Aug. 13.
