TAVARES – The Lake County Extension is inviting residents to take part in a program entitled “Slow Cooker Meals,” to be offered Monday, Oct. 8, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., and Thursday, Oct. 11, from 3 to 5 p.m. Both sessions will be held at the Lake County Agricultural Center, located at 1951 Woodlea Road in Tavares.
This program will help participants realize the benefits of using a slow cooker to prepare delicious and healthy home cooked meals, while providing tips for safe usage. Participants will also have the opportunity to learn new recipes and to taste various dishes.
A fee of $12 is required to participate in either session, and pre-registration is mandatory for both, as space is limited.
