TAVARES — The Lake County Department of Tourism and Business Relations is unveiling a newly designed Special Events Guide next month.
With more than 100,000 copies printed quarterly, the 60-page events guide is distributed throughout the state and to inquiring tourists. The fall events guide, due out the first week of September, lists more than 100 events occurring in Lake County between the months of October and December.
The Department of Tourism and Business Relations recently brought the design of the publication in-house. While the move is expected to save the County money, it also allows the Information Outreach Section to use its creative touch on the guide.
According to Kelly LaFollette, Manager of Information Outreach, the newly designed events guide features a “cleaner” appearance with more photographs, color schemes for each month of events in the guide, an easily searchable events index and icons denoting the category of each event.
To pick up a copy of the fall edition of the Lake County Special Events Guide, visit the Lake County Welcome Center, located at 20763 U.S. Highway 27 in Groveland, or call (800) 430-LAKE.
