MOUNT DORA — The fall season in Florida not only brings with it cooler temperatures, but also the return of one of Lake County’s most popular outdoor attractions – Scott’s Maze Adventures, owned and operated by Long & Scott Farms, located at 26216 County Road 448A, Mount Dora.
The attraction is celebrating its tenth anniversary, and offers a fun and educational journey through a 7-acre corn maze. This year’s theme is “Visit Lake County,” with the shape of the corn maze being the County’s logo.
“Scott’s Maze Adventures is a fun and unique family attraction,” said Scott Blankenship, Economic Development & Tourism Director. “We’re excited that this year’s theme is using the county’s brand to encourage visitation to Lake County.”
While at the farm, families can also enjoy a playground, large-sized jumping pillow, super slide, 3-acre “Cornfusion” tree maze, hay rides, farm tours and fishing and zip line for kids.
Scott’s Maze Adventure is open Saturdays from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sundays from 1-5 p.m., now through Dec. 16.
Special events will also be held on various weekends, including a Veteran’s Day Salute on Nov. 10 and 11, Scout Weekend on Nov. 17 and 18 and an appearance by Santa Claus and a Christmas tree sale on Nov. 24 and 25. The maze will also be open on Wednesday, Nov. 21 and Friday, Nov. 23.
Admission for the maze tour is $11 for adults and $9 for children, ages 3 to 16. Groups of 20 or more can reserve maze tours Tuesday through Friday. For more information, call 352-383-6900 or visit www.longandscottfarms.com.
