TAVARES — The Lake County Board of County Commissioners will hold their next budget workshop on Tuesday, Dec. 18 at 11 a.m. The focus of the next workshop will be on the County’s public transportation system. This includes LakeXpress, the County’s fixed-route bus service and Lake County Connection, the County’s door-to-door paratransit service.
The Commissioners are set to hold several budget workshops over the next few months in order to prepare for the Fiscal Year 2014 budget.
The workshops will focus on key programs within the organization, and will help facilitate discussion on funding of the programs during continued periods of revenue declines for the County.
All workshops will be held in the Board Chambers, located on the second floor of the Lake County Administrative Building, 315 W. Main St., Tavares. The remaining scheduled workshops are as follows:

The workshops will be open to the public, and residents and business owners are invited to attend. They will also be streamed live on the County’s website at http://lakecountyfl.suiteonemedia.com/web/home.aspx.
