TAVARES — Park rangers invite residents and visitors to discover the ecosystems, management and wildlife at a hike on the Ellis Acres Reserve.
“Our reserves and nature areas are rich in wildlife and scenery,” said Gallus Quigley, park ranger with Lake County’s Parks & Trails Division. “This guided tours offer the opportunity to explore corners of the Ellis Acres reserve that you not have ever seen.”
“Explore Your Reserve Hike” will be from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday, March 9 at the Ellis Acres Reserve, at 25302 County Road 42, Paisley.
The event is free, and pre-registration is recommended. To maximize the experience, participants are encouraged to bring binoculars, field guides, water, snacks, sunscreen, insect repellent, a hat and hiking shoes.
