TAVARES — Lake County is hosting the second-annual Central Florida Landscape & Garden Fair the weekend of April 20 and 21 at the Lake County Agricultural Center’s Discovery Gardens, 1951 Woodlea Road, Tavares.
The keynote speakers for the event are Robert Bowden, director of Harry P. Leu Gardens; and Tom MacCubbin, extension agent emeritus with the University of Florida IFAS, whose radio show, “Better Lawns & Gardens,” can be heard throughout Florida. A lineup of other renowned experts also will attend.
The fair will provide thousands of residents and visitors an opportunity to meet with, and purchase goods from, exhibitors that specialize in landscaping, gardening, irrigation, horticulture, fertilizer and more. A special opportunity is now being offered for companies to support this event, and subsequently, increase visibility in the community through sponsorship.
Sponsorship levels range from $200 to $750. Exhibitor fees range from $75 for a 10-foot-by-10-foot space to $140 for a 10-foot-by-20-foot space. Discounted rates are available for nonprofit organizations. The registration deadline for sponsorship opportunities, as well as exhibitor and food-vendor rental fees, is 5 p.m. Friday, March 22.
