TAVARES — The 2nd Annual Central Florida Landscape & Garden Fair will take place the weekend of April 20 and 21 at the Lake County Agricultural Center’s Discovery Gardens, 1951 Woodlea Road, Tavares. The Lake County Public Resources Department and UF/IFAS Master Gardener volunteers will host youth activities in the Children’s Garden. The activities are free, and include access to the Butterfly House and the Five Senses Garden, a seed activity, a self-guided maze adventure and more.
Children should make plans to stop by the welcome desk located at the entrance to Discovery Gardens to pick up a Children’s Passport. During their tour of the Discovery Gardens, children will have a chance to complete the passport by stopping by the designated locations on the map, that when turned in, will give them a prize courtesy of Chick-fil-A.
In addition to entertaining the children, the 2nd Annual Central Florida Landscape & Garden Fair will provide thousands of residents and visitors an opportunity to meet with, and purchase goods from, exhibitors that specialize in landscaping, gardening, irrigation, horticulture, fertilizer and more.
For those interested in being a vendor or sponsor, the deadline to register is Friday, April 5. The sponsorship, exhibitor and food-vendor options, as well as registration forms may be completed online.
