TAVARES – Lake County’s Business Opportunity Centers will host a hands-on seminar intended to help entrepreneurs and business owners compose successful business plans.
The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at UCF-Lake County, funded by Lake County, will facilitate the class. Stan Austin, Area Manager and Certified Business Analyst, will help entrepreneurs understand what it takes to start a business, and discuss business plans and the importance of preparing one. He also will help attendees identify everything from target markets and financial projections, to streamlining the writing process.
“(Stan) helped anchor my ideas,” one student said after the class was offered in March.
Registration is recommended, as the course is popular and space is limited. The seminar will be offered on the following dates:
• Leesburg Community Center
109 E. Dixie Ave., Leesburg
6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, May 9
• UCF South Lake Regional Campus
1250 N. Hancock Road, Building 2, Room 103, Clermont
