TAVARES — Chairman Leslie Campione, various county officials and the Florida Division of Forestry will appear at a special meeting for residents of Royal Trails.
The Royal Trails Property Owners’ Association, Inc. will host the meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 1 at the Royal Trails Community Park picnic pavilion on Wildflower Way in Eustis. Light refreshments will be served.
“Several Royal Trails residents have contacted me and said they are worried about evacuation routes and alternate access points to their neighborhood in the event of an emergency,” said Chairman Campione, Lake County District 4. “Lake County Public Works and Emergency Services staff have been working on these issues with the State Forestry Service for the past two months, and the upcoming meeting will allow us to share new information with citizens.”
The agenda includes discussion of safety and access issues that were raised after the most recent controlled burn; providing an update with regards to the options that may be available in the immediate future; and finally, discussing conditions and limitations associated with each of these issues.
For more information or to suggest matters for discussion, contact Commissioner Campione at 352-343-9850 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
