TAVARES — The UF/IFAS Lake County Extension will host a small-scale poultry workshop, “Chicken University,” from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 25 at the Lake County Agricultural Center, 1951 Woodlea Road, Tavares.
“Raising poultry on a small scale can be an excellent way to provide meat and eggs for your family,” said Megan Brew, M.Sc., livestock and natural-resources agent with the UF/IFAS Lake County Extension, who will instruct the class.
