GROVELAND — Commissioner Welton Cadwell, Lake County District 5, along with staff from the county’s Parks & Trails Division will host a meeting to discuss the long-term future of the South Lake Regional Park. The meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 9 at the Puryear Building, 243 S. Lake Ave., Groveland.
Residents who live in the area of the proposed South Lake Regional Park are invited to attend. The purpose of the meeting is to get public input about what the community would like to see eventually built. Tim Loucks, vice mayor for the city of Groveland, as well as other city council members, also will attend.
“Lake County has developed a master plan for active recreation in the county,” said Bobby Bonilla, manager for Lake County’s Parks & Trails Division. “The plan outlines the need for an additional active regional park in south Lake County. All residents, including those of the cities, will benefit if this park materializes.”
