Vendor and sponsor registration now open for the 3rd Annual Wings and Wildflowers Festival

RELEASE DATE: February 14, 2014

LEESBURG – Vendor and sponsor registration is now open for Lake County’s 3rd Annual Wings and Wildflowers Festival, to be held Oct. 3-5 at Venetian Gardens in Leesburg, Florida.
Lake County is partnering with the city of Leesburg in hosting this year’s festival at Venetian Gardens, 201 E. Dixie Ave., Leesburg. Outdoor and indoor vending locations will be available at the newly renovated Leesburg Community Building. Spaces available for rent will include 10’x10’, 10’x20’, food vendor spaces and not for profit booths. Vendor spaces range in cost from $50 to $200.

Sponsorships start at the Monarch level for $250 and go to $2,000 for the Florida scrub-jay level.  Sponsors of the festival will be included in all advertising, social media, website and other promotional outlets.

The Wings and Wildflowers Festival will feature field trips in birding hotspots and wildflower havens, as well as bringing some of the nation's top birding, wildflower and nature experts to the area. This year’s keynote speakers include Greg Miller, the inspiration behind the star-studded film “The Big Year,” Stacy Tornio, editor of the premier national birding and gardening publication “Birds & Blooms” and Roger L. Hammer, an award-winning naturalist and author who served as the director of Castellow Hammock Nature Center in Miami.

With Lake County’s growing reputation as Florida’s premier birding destination, the goal of the festival is to enhance awareness and appreciation of Lake County’s quality of life, natural resources and support environmental initiatives on behalf of citizens and visitors alike. The festival is an ideal event for sponsors and vendors to gain an enhanced presence in the region, as well as in the birding and wildlife communities.

The festival’s sponsorship deadline is by 5 p.m. on Friday, July 5. Exhibitor and food vendor applications must be received by 5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 8. Rental fees are due at the time of application. Spaces will be filled on a first come, first served basis.
