TAVARES – Lake County Animal Services is hosting its second animal auction this month at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 21 at the shelter, located at 28123 County Road 561, Tavares.
The following animals will be up for auction:
- 6-8-month-old bull
- 4-year-old cow
- Mini stallion named “Buttercup”
- 12-yr-old Arabian Gelding named “Karmer”
- 3-year-old Paint Mare named “Kat”
- 2-year-old Paint Mare named “Stormy”
Minimum bids start at $100. Payment is accepted in cash, money orders, certified check and credit cards. Animals will be auctioned off to the highest bidder and must be removed from property before 4 p.m. Winning bidders must be able to transport their animals off-site. Animals are sold “as is” but all horses must have a negative Coggins test.
Future Animal Services events include another auction on Aug. 9 and rabies clinic and adoption events on July 19 and Sept. 20.
