MOUNT DORA — A second public meeting is set for Monday, Oct. 30, at 6 p.m. to inform residents near the City of Mount Dora about proposed road improvements to Britt Road, a two-lane road which extends north and south from State Road 44 to Wolf Branch Road.
The meeting will be held at the Mount Dora Community Hall, located at 520 N. Baker St., and will allow participants to build upon comments and results of the first public meeting held on Dec. 5, 2005.
The proposed roadway upgrades include improving the narrow 20-foot wide road with unpaved shoulders to 24-foot wide. At the public meeting, representatives from the Lake County Department of Public Works and the transportation consulting firm of Reynolds, Smith and Hills Inc. will provide information and answer questions about the proposed roadway improvements.
An informational mailing regarding the public meeting was sent to all residences within 100 feet of Britt Road. For more information about the Britt Road public meeting, call the Lake County Department of Public Works, Engineering Division, at (352) 483-9040.
