TAVARES – The University of Florida’s Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS) Extension in Lake County is hosting “Saturday in the Garden – Plant This, Not That” at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1 at the Lake County Agricultural Center, 1951 Woodlea Road, Tavares. The class is part of the "Saturday in the Garden” speaker series and will be presented by Lake County Master Gardener Clyde Jones.
For adults, the class costs $5 with online pre-registration at http://saturdayinthegardennovember12014.eventbrite.com and $6 at the door. Children under the age of 16 may attend free of charge.
Participants are also invited to explore the Discovery Gardens, a 3.5-acre habitat next to the Agricultural Center, which is open from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Attendance to the program is not required to tour the gardens.
