TAVARES – The University of Florida’s Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS) Extension in Lake County will present two sessions of the popular class “Gifts from Your Kitchen,” designed to provide holiday gift-giving inspiration without breaking the budget.
“Holidays can strain your budget and your patience,” said Julie England, Family & Consumer Sciences Agent II, who will be presenting the classes. “Creating fun, inexpensive food-based gifts are a treat for the giver and the receiver. People who attend the class will walk away with three different gifts to share, as well as ideas for more.”
Both classes will be held at the Lake County Agricultural Center, 1951 Woodlea Road, Tavares. The first class will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Nov. 18. The registration deadline is Nov. 15 and available online at https://giftsevening14.eventbrite.com. The second class will take place from 2- 4 p.m. on Nov. 20. The registration deadline is Nov. 17 and available online at https://afternoongifts2014.eventbrite.com. Pre-registration is required and seating is limited. The classes cost $15 each.
