LEESBURG – Procurement Officials of Lake County (POOL), a group of public sector purchasing entities within the county who work together to maximize vendor participation, are hosting a government-to-business workshop from 9 a.m. – noon on Thursday, Jan. 29 at the Leesburg Community Center, located 109 East Dixie Ave. in Leesburg.
The workshop is designed to educate businesses on the basics of government procurement and how to successfully do business with public agencies. The workshop will discuss the process of working with local governments, as well as state and federally funded projects, surety bonds and more. All firms interested in doing business with Lake County government entities are encouraged to attend.
The following agencies will be represented at the workshop: The Lake County Board of County Commission, Lake County Schools and the cities of Clermont, Eustis, Leesburg, Mount Dora and Tavares.
Space is limited and will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.
