TAVARES – The University of Florida’s Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS) Extension in Lake County is hosting “Pruning Landscape Trees, Plants and Fruit Trees” at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14 at the Lake County Agricultural Center, 1951 Woodlea Road, Tavares. The class is part of the "Saturday in the Garden” speaker series and will be presented by Brooke Moffis, UF/IFAS Extension Agent.
Online registration for the class is available for $5 online for adults at https://eventbrite.com/event/15460320234/. Payment for adults is $6 at the door. Children under the age of 16 may attend free of charge.
Participants are also invited to explore the Discovery Gardens, a 3.5-acre habitat next to the Agricultural Center, which is open from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Class participation is not necessary for entry into the gardens.
