ASTOR — The Lake County Department of Public Works is hosting a community meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 15, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Astor Community Center, located at 24148 Ann St., to discuss a flood study with residents of the community.
The study is being conducted by a contracted consultant for the Stormwater Section of the Lake County Engineering Division. Due to the community’s limited stormwater infrastructure and history of road and residential flooding, the study will help identify improvements to address these issues.
The community meeting will provide an opportunity for the consultant to explain the scope of the study and for local residents to provide input regarding areas of concern. For more information about this meeting or the Astor Flood Study, call the Lake County Stormwater Section at (352) 483-9080 or e-mail email@example.com.
