Volunteers invited to participate in Earth Day cleanup

RELEASE DATE: April 17, 2015

EUSTIS – Lake County’s Parks & Trails Division is inviting nature enthusiasts to celebrate Earth Day by helping plant flowers and cleanup debris from 9 – 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 22 at Marsh Park & Boat Ramp, 36545 Yale Retreat Road, Eustis.

Garbage bags, trash pickers and rubber gloves will be provided to the volunteers at the free event.

At 35 acres, Marsh Park offers boaters access to Lake Yale for great bass fishing or a relaxing day on the water. The park has a five-acre restoration area that features native wildflowers and Pond Pines that were planted on Earth Day 2007 to provide additional habitat to the many birds, butterflies, reptiles and mammals that live or feed in the park.

To make a reservation for the event, visit www.lakecountyfl.gov/parks/event_reservations.aspx.
