TAVARES — The Lake County Local Planning Agency (LPA) is requesting that any property owners that have any requests to change the proposed future land-use map do so by Thursday, Jan. 4.
A Lake County property owner can view the proposed future land-use map online at www.lakecountyfl.gov/2025. A form is also available for property owners to make their requested changes by clicking here.
Request forms can be submitted to the Lake County Department of Growth Management, Planning & Development Division, in person on the fifth floor of the Lake County Administration Building, located at 315 W. Main St., Tavares, by fax at (352) 343-9595 or via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
A property owner may also wish to request to make a 20-minute presentation on Jan. 4 to a panel of staff members regarding their future land-use map change. Reservations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis through 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 2. To request a presentation timeslot, call Joan Greaney at (352) 343-5838.
Any property owner requesting a change should be prepared to attend the LPA meeting on Thursday, Jan. 18, to answer questions. The Jan. 18 LPA meeting is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. in the County Commission Chambers, located on the second floor of the Lake County Administration Building, 315 W. Main St., Tavares.
