CLERMONT — The Lake County Emergency Management Division, in partnership with Orange, Osceola and Polk counties, is inviting residents to the Hurricane Expo from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 25 at Cagan Crossings Community Library, located at 16729 Cagan Oaks in Clermont.
The indoor/outdoor educational event seeks to help citizens prepare for weather emergencies. Participants will receive free tools and information about family preparedness plans, hurricanes, shelters, emergency pet safety and more, and will have the opportunity to interact with first responders and emergency personnel.
"With this year’s Atlantic hurricane season expected to be more active than in the recent past, residents are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to learn about personal and family emergency preparedness, flooding dangers, recognizing weather hazards, preparing a go-kit and more,” said Tommy Carpenter, Manager of Lake County Emergency Management.
