RELEASE DATE: July 19, 2016

LEESBURG —Fishing League Worldwide (FLW) announced that one of its six broadcast tournaments will be filmed on the Harris Chain of Lakes in Leesburg March 9-12, 2017.

The 2017 Walmart FLW Tour, on NBC Sports Network, the Pursuit Channel and the World Fishing Network, will showcase the best bass anglers in the world competing in the most competitive circuit in the sport.

“The FLW Tour brings 160 of the best professional bass anglers from around the world to Lake County to compete in the highest level of professional fishing competitions,” said Adam Sumner, Lake County Economic Development and Tourism Manager. “This tour stop will allow Lake County to show the world how great fishing is on the Harris Chain of Lakes. Further, FLW is a tremendous partner, hosting a number of community events during tournament week, including an expo on Ski Beach at Venetian Gardens park.”

FLW is the world’s largest tournament-fishing organization, providing anglers of all skill levels the opportunity to compete for millions in prize money in 2016 across five tournament circuits.
