— Lake County Board of County Commissioners’ Chairman Sean Parks has been accepted to Class XXXV of the East Central Region of Leadership Florida, a statewide community of leaders actively engaged in understanding and serving Florida.
Leadership Florida takes a statewide view of the conditions and challenges that face Florida, and offers a leadership continuum that expands the impact of community leaders. The group provides meaningful forums for sharing essential information and viewpoints, and creates opportunities for shared experiences that seek to be inviting, inspiring and of lasting value.
“I'm honored to represent Lake County at Leadership Florida. Leadership Florida will afford me the opportunity to leverage relationships statewide to assist Lake County with its economic development goals and vision,” said Chairman Parks. “I'm looking forward to learning from some very bright people around the state about how to better lead in Lake County.”
Created in 1982 by the Florida Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Florida builds a sense of statewide community by identifying and training individuals with the passion and commitment to help make great things happen. The non-profit organization’s mission is to convene a statewide community of committed leaders to enhance and recharge their skills and to educate and inspire them to work across their strengths and diversities for a better Florida.
