TAVARES — During the last nine months, more than 9,000 Central Floridians have identified ways that the Central Florida region could grow and prosper, given the projected doubling of the region’s population by the year 2050. Now, it is everyone’s turn to listen, learn and choose a preferred growth option.
From January 22-26, WMFE-TV public television will provide five nights of primetime programming focused on the key issues and opportunities that face the region. Snapshots of the programs will culminate with a live, 90-minute WMFE-TV broadcast on Friday, Jan. 26. Programming will also air on 90.7 WMFE-FM radio. The efforts will also kick off a 20-day campaign during which residents will have a chance to make a choice about the future of Central Florida.
Lake County Government supports the efforts of myregion.org, which organized this extensive study. For more information, log on to www.myregion.org or www.wmfe.org.
