SORRENTO — The public is invited to watch teams launch pumpkins through the air during the Lake County Library System’s 2nd Annual Pumpkin Chunkin’ contest. The event is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5 at the East Lake County Library, located at 31340 S. County Road 437 in Sorrento.

Spectators are encouraged to bring their own chairs or blankets.
The contest coincides with the Friends of the East Lake County Library’s 17th Annual Fall Festival, which is held on the library grounds from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. and includes a book sale, community yard sale, bake sale, arts and crafts and more.
