PAISLEY — The Department of Public Works, Parks & Trails Division, is hosting a meet-and-greet with the County’s five new park rangers on Saturday, Feb. 3, beginning at 10 a.m. at Paisley Community Park, located at 24956 County Road 42.
The event will help residents of North Lake County become acclimated with the County’s new park rangers. In the coming months, the visibility of the park rangers will increase as they develop positive activities for the public to enjoy while visiting Lake County’s park system.
“We want to get in a one-on-one basis so people know these rangers are part of their community,” said Bobby Bonilla, Director of the Parks & Trails Division. “We want people to see these rangers as an extension of the community as they will help patrol the park and educate people about the County’s parks, trails and blueways.”
In addition to the meet-and-greet on Feb. 3, park rangers and community members will join in cleaning up the park to make it safer and more attractive to visitors. Refreshments will be available.
