CLERMONT —Lake County Commissioner Sean Parks and School Board Chairman Marc Dodd are inviting the public to attend Coffee & Conversations, an outreach meeting to be held on Wednesday, June 21 from 8-10 a.m. at Keke’s, located at 2435 U.S. Highway 27 in Clermont.
Chairman Parks and School Board Chairman Dodd regularly host Coffee & Conversations as a way to offer convenient opportunities for South Lake County residents to speak one-on-one with various officials representing the county.
Lake County Schools Superintendent Diane Kornegay will be the event’s featured guest. Superintendent Kornegay was appointed Superintendent of Lake County Schools in January 2017 after a national search. Lake is the 19th largest school district in Florida with about 43,000 students, 50 learning sites (including Lake Virtual School and Lake Technical College) and more than 5,500 employees, which makes it the county’s largest employer. Prior to her appointment, Superintendent Kornegay served as Deputy Superintendent in the School District of Clay County, where she was responsible for the daily operation and management of the district.
