TAVARES —The Lake County Emergency Operations Center remains at Level 1 – Full Activation in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma as power outages and debris blanket Lake County. The Citizens Information Line at 352-253-9999 remains open 24 hours a day.
All offices of the Board of County Commissioners, including the Lake County Animal Shelter, libraries and parks, will be closed on Tuesday, Sept. 12 with the exception of Solid Waste facilities and Public Safety. The following public meetings at the Lake County Administration Building, 315 W. Main St., Tavares, have been rescheduled from Tuesday, Sept. 12.
• Solid waste and fire assessment: 9 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19.
• First budget hearing: 5:05 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19
The Final budget hearing, scheduled for 5:05 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 26 will happen as scheduled.
